Multy-centre EUropean Study of Major Infectious Disease Syndromes (MERMAIDS) – community acquired sepsis-like syndrome and paediatric acute respiratory tract infection in children
To estimate the proportion of children aged ≤6 months with sepsis-like syndrome with is attributable to Enterovirus or Human Parechovirus infection; to estimate the proportions of cases of acute respiratory syndrome in children aged 0 to 5 years old attributed to respiratory syncyntial vitus, influenza virus, human rhinovirus infection or S. pneumoniae.
